Rita is Calling Me
I was out running errands this afternoon and ended up in the vicinity of Rita’s Italian Ice. Okay, so I ended up in the vicinity on purpose, but still. Who could blame me? According to my iPhone, it was 82 degrees. And it was beautifully sunny and wonderful. And I’ve been waiting for a warm day to partake of some icy goodness.
But, alas, it was not to be. The parking lot was completely full… not a space to be had… and I needed to get home to feed and walk the pooch.
However, tomorrow is another day. I’m thinking Italian Ice for breakfast, lunch, and dessert after dinner might not be a bad plan.
On another completely unrelated matter, could someone please explain to me why my dog insists on lying on the top of the back of the couch instead of on a seat cushion? We’re forever fluffing up the back cushions because she smashes them down. All I can figure is she likes a bird’s eye view out the window. I’m thinking of moving the footstool over in front of the window and see if she’ll lie on that instead. Sheesh.

Rita’s. Don’t they have some sort of custard thing there too? I love their custard (if it is Rita’s that has it).

Yes, Rita’s also has excellent custard… but I always go for the ice. Unless one of their ice flavors is root beer. Then I get the root beer ice and vanilla custard together and it’s like the most wonderful root beer float on earth.

on the unrelated note – i think it’s a little dog thing. My boston, the littler one, always did that. I think he was trying to be like a cat!
