Prison Break
Al and I are sitting here watching the 11:00 p.m. news on WJET. The top story is about a man, Malcolm Kysor, who escaped from SCI Albion. They gave a generic description of the guy – 5′8″, brown hair, brown eyes, and “various” tattoos. Are you telling me that there’s no picture they can release of this guy? What about a mug shot? The prison doesn’t have pictures of all the inmates on a computer somewhere? Kysor was serving a life sentence for a murder he committed in Erie County, so you would think someone around here – television stations, the newspaper, local law enforcement – would have a picture of this guy that could be released to all media outlets.

Yes I mean to tell you WE HAVE NO MUG SHOT ok? Hell we were not even informed about the excape until 4 hours after it happened and then the first info came NOT from authorities, but from neighbors of the prison. We are searching for video from the original story. The State Police and Albion prison really really dropped the ball on this one as far as letting the public know. There will be more on this story on Monday and we will be asking some tough questions about how it was handled.

The pictures have been located and the local media has delivered.
If a picture can’t be found, my suggestion would be to let people know whom he resembles. In this case, I’m thinking Dick Smothers with the moustache.

[...] Back on November 25, 2007, Malcolm Kysor hid in a garbage can and escaped from SCI Albion. There was quite a hub-ub about how long it took for authorities to realize he was missing from the prison and how long it took authorities to notify the residents in and around Albion and the media. As a result, the prison superintendent was replaced. [...]
