For nearly 30 years, I’ve been “living by luck” (which means “doing the best I can with what I have and hoping for the best”). It’s not nearly as stress-free and exciting as it sounds.

In fact, it’s probably led to most of my current health-issues (migraines, indigestion, insomnia, back and neck pain, and other stuff).

That said, I’ve recently caught the lucky break I’ve needed and I’m not screwing it up.

So, here’s my public service announcement:

Do better than I have, plan for your future, save money, and think before you leap.

Now, back to your irregular programming.

Former American President Jimmy Carter said some hurtful (yet truthful) things about current President Bush.

“I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history,”

Speaking only for myself, I tend to agree with Mr. Carter.

The White House, however, has something to say about President Bush’s critics.

“I think it’s unfortunate,” Fratto said. “And I think he is proving to be increasingly irrelevant with these kinds of comments.”

What did Fratto mean? He meant that anyone that publicly opposes or criticizes Mr. Bush, the White House, and the greater Bush Administration is no longer relevant.

That’s a dangerous charge.

I truly love living “at the beach”, but there is nothing, nothing, like driving through the foothills of NC and seeing the bluish shadow of mountains on the horizon.

They’re all shades of red.

Not only has Lieberman endorsed Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine.) — one of Democrats’ biggest targets in the 2008 cycle — but he’s planning to co-host a fundraiser for her on June 21 in Washington, D.C.

It’s important to strengthen the Democratic majority in 2008 so that Lieberman can be booted from the Committee assignments that were made only on the condition that he caucus with the Democrats (to maintain their majority).
