I was nominated and appointed to the Trails and Greenways Commission during Wednesday’s council meeting.

Comedian-actor George Carlin, known for his raunchy but insightful humor, died of heart failure Sunday in Los Angeles, his publicist said. He was 71.

Carlin was definitely insightful. People may have disliked the way he presented information but no one can deny that most of his observations on human behavior were spot on.
