Onslow County Politics: Joe McLaughlin Returns…

to ruin my holiday.
Why can’t he just admit that he lost, admit that his political career is over (much like his financial management career, I hear) and go away?
What is it with NC-03 candidates? Between McLaughlin and Weber, we must be the laughing stock of all the nation!

Onslow County Politics: Joe McLaughlin Killed My Buzz

Earlier this week (I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday morning) I was bicycling to work and had this flitting thought:
I haven’t heard the names “Joe McLaughlin” or “Delma Collins” in a while. Isn’t that nice?"

And it was, it was very nice…But it wasn’t to last very long. Follow the jump for details.

2010 Elections: Craig Weber Announces Third Bid for Jones, Jr’s Seat

In what can only be described as an egomaniacal trip down horror alley, Craig Weber has announced via email his third bid for North Carolina’s Third Congressional seat.
The text is below.
To all,
I want to thank you for every effort that you made in this past election.  It took a bit of time to come [...]

Election 2008: Classless Candidates and Sore Losers

Why are so many of the losing incumbents and losing candidates for election behaving so poorly? It’s an exercise in classlessness, from my point of view.

Senator Barack Obama won by a pretty large margin (his 53% to McCain’s 46%). Check out President-Elect Obama’s Transition Office’s website for more information on his transition staff and [...]

2008 Elections: 9:30pm Update

Obama still leads McCain in the state (50% to 48%) but trails in Onslow (43% to McCain’s 56%).
Hagan leads Dole in the state (52% to 43%) but trails in Onslow (46% to Dole’s 49%).
Jones, Jr. leads Weber in NC-03 (67% to 32%) and Onslow (60% 39%).
Council of State races looking Democratic in the state, mixed [...]

2008 Elections: BrockNet Election Extravaganza

We all know Tuesday is Election Day here in the U.S. I’m sure it’s an election that the world will be watching, as well as very nervous Americans.
I’ll be posting frequent updates here (probably every half-hour to hour) and will be Twittering updates as well.
The races I’ll be paying particular attention to are:

President of the [...]
