Destination: Emigration

Recently I’ve joked with Ms. Steinfeld about emigrating if Senator John McCain is elected president in November 2008.
Since she’s eligible for a real-no-kidding-Eye-Talian-passport, her chosen destination is Italy (probably somewhere near Sicily or the Tuscan shore). Mine is France.
It seems that my choice may be a bit better than hers…

It’s been two years, Senator Dole, since I delivered to you, through your surrogate Janet Bradbury, a list of questions. Ms. Bradbury assured me that I’d be contacted and receive answers to my questions, though she was reluctant to answer any herself.
What’s most shocking to me, though, is that in two years, you’ve never come [...]

Dear Senator McCaskill,
Twice I’ve attempted to email you regarding House Concurrent Resolution 305 and twice you’ve told me that, while you “appreciate hearing” from me, “Unfortunately, your message was caught in Senate spam filters.” Your email recommends that I “…please submit your comments through the webform on my Senate website – http://mccaskill.senate.gov.” I did, Senator [...]

Republican Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska was indicted Tuesday on charges that he lied about receiving gifts worth more than $250,000 from an Alaska-based energy company on whose behalf he intervened in Washington.

Anne Schroeder’s Shenanigans reports.
Bunning: “Regular order!”
Byrd: “Who said that?”
Bunning: “I did.”
Byrd: “Who are you?”
Bunning: “I’m a senator.”
Byrd: “You’re a great baseball man.”
Bunning: “I’m a senator, I have the same rights as you.”
Byrd: “Yeah man, you’re a senator.” [Ends by laughing hysterically at Bunning.]
Anybody got a YouTube of this?

I’m going to vote for Illinois Senator and Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
But I have to agree with Steve Clemons that this was bad taste and a terrible idea.
