While the City of Jacksonville has a ginormous budget (and the debt to go with it), the Onslow County Board of Commissioners chose to cut back and pull funds from the reserve account.

The Primary Election had some very interesting results for the Onslow County Board of Commissioners. It appears that Onslow County voters are unsatisfied with the current Board and want new representation.

It’s March and that means that the NC State Board of Elections has closed the filing period for the May 6th primary and November 11th general elections.

When Commissioner Collins ran for Onslow County Clerk of Superior Court in 2006 he promised the teachers in a county-wide letter that he would end his political career if he lost the election.

According the New Bern Sun Journal, the U.S. Navy has narrowed the field of candidate counties to two in Northeastern NC and 3 in Virginia.
