The Connecticut Supreme Court ruled that “civil unions” aren’t the same as marriage and that prohibiting same-sex couples to marry is unconstitutional.

The previously mentioned Jacksonville Daily News article has been published.
My above linked previous post sets the premise of the article, so I won’t repeat it here. I will point out new information, though.

Yet another Jacksonville Daily News poll doesn’t make sense to readers.
Today I discovered the poll to the left regarding the construction of a 75-feet tall building in downtown. No mention of what downtown, where or when this building is being constructed. I searched recent Daily News articles and didn’t find anything mentioning a [...]

MSNBC’s Cosmic Log reports.
Europe’s CERN particle-physics lab has issued its long-awaited report on safety issues surrounding the Large Hadron Collider, the world’s biggest and most expensive atom-smasher. Some have feared that when the collider reaches full power, sometime next year, it might create microscopic black holes or other exotic phenomena that could endanger Earth. The [...]

While the City of Jacksonville has a ginormous budget (and the debt to go with it), the Onslow County Board of Commissioners chose to cut back and pull funds from the reserve account.
The Jacksonville Daily News reports.
The commissioners were presented a budget plan that called for increasing the tax rate from 50.3 cents per [...]

Outside City Hall, hundreds of supporters and some opponents of gay marriage gathered. Those protesting carried signs that said “Re-criminalize Sodomy” and “God Hates Lying Sinners.” Born-again Christian Bill Hampsmire traveled from Fremont to demonstrate against the nuptials.
“I think God is going to [...]
