Beth, the writer at bikelovejones says we should contact our Senators and ask them to support the Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008.
This legislation will do all kinds of good stuff to improve America’s energy situation, but specifically, it provides tax benefits for bicycle commuters.

Thanks to Uncle Ted’s indictment, the originally-scheduled-for-today markup of House Concurrent Resolution 305 (Recognizing the importance of bicycling in transportation and recreation) has been postponed to an unknown date.
That didn’t stop me from emailing my Senators or the Senators of the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation about the bill.
