Open Letter to Onslow County Library System

Dear Onslow County Library,
How is it possible that you do not have a copy of Jack Kerouac’s Big Sur?
I’ve been reading Marion Blackburn’s most awesome writing blog, Fiction Daily 2. She’s been reading Kerouac recently and has been writing about his work, specifically Big Sur, and it has driven me to want to give it a spin.
Unfortunately, as evidenced by the image at left, the Onslow County Public Library System has no copies.
It’s certainly disappointing even if not surprising.
Get a copy, please.
Your Frequent Visitor,
Thomas S. Brock

It’s a little hard to read, but it lists 13 pages of “Danielle Steel” items. Total? 126.

I’ve been in the main branch a few times, and I have to say I was rather appalled.
I’m not even going to say more than that about it.

Thanks, Lou.
The local libraries here leave quite a bit to be desired.
And, really, 3 hits for Jack Kerouac and 126 for Danielle Steel pretty much says it all…
