Jacksonville Daily News: A poll that makes no sense

Yet another Jacksonville Daily News poll doesn’t make sense to readers.
Today I discovered the poll to the left regarding the construction of a 75-feet tall building in downtown. No mention of what downtown, where or when this building is being constructed. I searched recent Daily News articles and didn’t find anything mentioning a Talbot’s project.
And, I think the reason is because it’s not a Jacksonville issue. I found these articles at the Daily News‘ sister paper, the New Bern Sun Journal. There’s quite a few articles all pointing to some controversy over the project.
It’s curious that the Daily Newsers are so interested in how we, residents of Jacksonville, feel about a New Bern issue.
And, while I don’t mind expressing my opinions in regards to New Bern issues, it’d be nice for the Daily Newsers to provide some sort of background information for the polls.
‘Cuz, this one was a head-scratcher.
