Bush Administration Sees Fruits of Negotiation

Earlier this week, the Bush Administration loosened some sanctions against North Korea after accepting their accounting of nuclear weapons materials and programs.
Today, the world has seen the fruits of negotiation.
North Korea on Friday destroyed a water cooling tower at a facility where officials acknowledge they extracted plutonium to build nuclear weapons, CNN’s Chief International Correspondent Christiane Amanpour reported from the scene.
Perhaps this week’s actions will be evidence to President Bush and his advisors that diplomacy and negotiation works better than “shock and awe”…But I’m not holding my breath.
