Dear FedEx: I want my computer, please
Is there some sort of conspiracy keeping my PC from me?
After being told by several HP representatives and the FedEx tracking site that my PC would be delivered by noon today, I still have no PC.
After speaking with the FedEx representative, I learned that severe weather last night has delayed delivery of packages and that there is no expected time of delivery. The PC will get delivered when the PC gets delivered.
Unless it doesn’t.
I don’t have a mailbox at my address, so I use the local PostalAnnex + for mail, shipping, etc. The great thing about PostalAnnex + is that they can sign for FedEx, UPS, certified mail, etc and I don’t have to take a day off work to wait for the delivery. The bad thing is that they close. If the FedEx guy gets there after the place is closed, FedEx will attempt delivery on Monday.
It’s stuff like this that makes me think that there may be a god. Though, in my imaginings, he’s more the kid burning ants with a magnifying glass than any sort of benevolent father-type.

Hi. I found your blog when I searched google for “HP won’t send my computer back.” Odd, I know. But I paid thousands of dollars, that I will never have a chance to get again, for an HDX Notebook that worked for TWO days… the online support guy was quick to ship a box out to me to repair it, even though he never explained what he thought was wrong (I was recently told it was the motherboard & video card). They have given me 4 different dates so far for when I will “get my notebook back,” and the guy on the phone yesterday said, “I promise you, it’s repaired and being shipped out today. There will be a tracking number on the Customer Service Order Status page in the morning and you will receive your notebook tomorrow afternoon.” It is not and I have not! I have called them five times over the past month and a half and I’m either told it’s repaired, or that they have a parts shortage. (I was told it was repaired two phone calls ago, then it wasn’t, then yesterday it was again.) How can it be repaired one week, and waiting on a part the next? Whenever I ask them that (or ask how I go about getting a refund) there is complete and utter silence and the representative doesn’t say anything for awhile until I ask where my notebook is again, which results in another “repaired” or “parts shortage” answer. This is getting ridiculous and I just HAVE to know whether or not you ever got your PC back from them. I’m looking forward to your response!

Ah, I’m sorry. I just found your “FedEx Delivers…Just not on time” blog and see that you did indeed get your PC back. I hope it is still running smoothly for you all these months later

Thank you for your comment, Jennifer.
I’m very sorry to hear about your computer troubles.
Have you tried sending an email through the “Contact HP’s CEO” system? The web-page is here.
Once I sent an email through that system, my PC was fixed and returned within a week.
Good luck and I hope you get your PC and satisfaction from HP.
