2008 Primary Analysis: Onslow County Board of Education
The Onslow County Board of Election was not left unaffected by the 2008 Primary Elections. Two of the five current members will not be returning.
The top 4 vote-getters get the nod for the Board (the Primary is the only election for the Board of Education).
Margaret E. Brown 8596 17.18%
Pam Thomas 8183 16.35%
Jeff Brown 6151 12.29%
Fred Holt 5633 11.26%
Jeff Brown and Fred Holt will be replacing Robert Gaskins and Brock Ridge on the Board.
MaryAnn Kellum-Sharpe will be returning after being elected to complete the term expiring 2010.
It’s not a whole new Board and I don’t expect any dramatic changes to the secretive and sometimes deceitful practices.
They’ll be watched, though.
