Bicycling in Eastern NC
The New Bern Sun Journal (Yes, it’s a Freedom ENC Communications, Inc paper…)has a great web-only column called “Man on a Bike.”
It’s written by Justin Schoenberger, who bicycles around New Bern, writes brilliantly about cycling, from the great things you can see from the saddle to the challenges of navigating highways and lack of parking.
I’m glad that a local news outlet is publishing (even if it is online-only) columns focused on alternative transportation and cycling in particular.
If only the Jacksonville Daily News would catch onto the idea and do the same (there are plenty of excitement involved when bicycling around Jacksonville and Onslow County). By the way, Jacksonville Daily Newsers, I know a guy if you’re interested in the idea.
