Lou, Thanks for commenting. The Jacksonville Daily News have a really bad habit of not reporting on important local events. Instead, they sell too many of their inches for AP stories that have little or no local importance. I also wouldn't pay for the paper, but luckily I have a co-worker that subscribes. It's interesting the life views one has when The Jacksonville Daily News is their primary news source...Interesting, and quite sad.

It’s a shame that on the rare occasion that I find out about an event through the Daily News, it is almost invariably after the fact, with little information about the event, and if I want to actually know something more, I have to look it up elsewhere.

I rarely bother to do more than look at the front page and read Timmi Toler’s column (which I actually do at her blog). I do both online because there’s no way I’d pay for what the Daily News is providing.

Oh, and I confess I do occasionally read the Letters to the Editor, mostly for the humor value. …or if I need an excuse to bang my head on my desk.
