Jacksonville Daily News Admits Fault for Exposing their Bias

Yesterday, I wrote about the Jacksonville Daily News allowing their conservative (read as Republican) bias to show.

In today’s print edition, the editorial staff printed an explanation and accepted responsibility for the error and republished the corrected letter.

Editor’s note: Due to an editing error, Barack Obama’s name was misspelled in a letter to the editor from Dennis Cullivan that was published on Feb. 21.

The Daily News apologizes to its readers and Mr. Cullivan for the error. A corrected version of the letter follows.

In common conservative style, the Jacksonville Daily News‘ editorial staff planted yet another suggestion in voters’ minds that link Senator Barack Obama and al Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden.

Jacksonville Daily News staff and employees should be shamed by yesterday’s mistake. It’s blatant and inexcusable for Onslow County’s paper of record.

  1. My good friend from BlueNC, Betsy Muse, made this addition to the post over there:

Funny that they didn’t have what it takes…to apologize to Barack Obama

    Indeed, Ms. Muse, indeed.
