Marshall Adame (Democratic candidate for Congress in NC-03) has been targeted by Blackwater Worldwide’s VP, Bill Mathews, for comments made during a recent BlueNC live-blog.

Says Mr. Mathews in an email to Blackwater Worldwide employees:

All:

There is a man named Marshall Adame who is running for congress in our district. He just put a quote online which says he wants this company and all of us to cease to exist.

Do you like your jobs? Are you sick and tired of the slanderous bullshit going on in DC?

If so, would you all mind joining me in reminding Mr. Adame that he is running for office in our backyard. Tell all your friends and family too. We welcome their assistance in making this point very clear to Mr. Adame……

Interestingly enough, Mr. Mathews email address and telephone numbers are not available through the Blackwater Worldwide website.

This is a perfect example of Blackwater’s tactics. If you don’t agree with their methodology they attack and attempt to intimidate those against them. Instead of attempting a reasonable debate Blackwater Worldwide, Messrs. Erik Prince (the CEO), and Bill Mathews would prefer to "run the goofs out of town."

Mathews is the coward here. He’s incapable of acting in a reasonable manner, unable to behave as a civilized and intelligent human. He’s the goof that should be run out of town.

Support Marshall. The Hatch Act forbids me from soliciting contributions, so I’m not. I’m asking for much more. Give Adame your time. Give Adame your voice. Most importantly, though, give Adame your vote. He deserves it and so do you.
